Craft breweries
Need help with your compressed air?Air Equipment have been working with independent and craft breweries for several years. We have the knowledge and experience to guide you through the process of specification, selection and installation of your craft brewery compressed air system. We are associate members of SIBA and usually attend their events and exhibitions. Please come along and have a chat!
If you are using keg washers, bottling or canning lines, or just aeration of the wort in your brewing process, then you will be using compressed air.
Air Equipment specialises in providing clean dry oil free or food grade compressed air for many food and beverage production facilities and would be happy to speak to you about your requirements.
Compressed air that comes into direct contact with the final product should meet BRC (British Retail Consortium) guidelines for compressed air that comes into contact with food. There are various routes to meet these guidelines using a high quality dryer and filtration or alternatively using oil free machines is a good start. Using food grade lubricants in the compressor to limit any contamination risk should there be a failure of the filtration systems in the compressed air system.
Also are you using sterile filters for your aeration lines? If not, speak to us about what you need for your process compliance.
Compliance is also needed around the fact that if you are using a compressed air system at all, Health and Safety legislation says that you must have a current Written Scheme of Examination (PSSR SI 128 – 2000) (insert link to WSE page) in place prepared and inspected by a competent person with adequate professional Indemnity cover to carry out this work.
If you have any question’s regarding compressed air in your brewery, contact Air Equipment.
Cheers!
